Reflection Fine Art | Sue Yu Petty

Sue Yu Petty became an artist at the age of 6 when she started sketching in pencil and painting with acrylics.  She now works exclusively with oil paints and is a protégé of JD Miller and subscribes to the reflectionist school of art. 

When painting she feels directed by a higher source of inspiration and that she is an instrument being played by the hands of God.  There is no plan prior to starting a piece other than the desire to see a transformation occur on the canvas.  She believes the best experiences are not planned, pre-meditated, or contrived, and it is the serendipitous moments and coincidences that inspire and enlighten her art.

Petty is actively involved in the healing arts and is a licensed doctor of chiropractic.  She is passionate about chiropractic and nutrition and believes that health and healing come from within and God gives our bodies the innate wisdom to self heal.
